ENR 1.4  ATS airspace classification and description

1.   ATS airspace classification

1.1   ATS airspace classes
1.1.1  Within the Tirana FIR, airspace is classified and designated in accordance with ICAO Annex 11, subject to the differences notified at GEN 1.7.

Class C: IFR and VFR flights are permitted, all flights are provided with air traffic control service and IFR flights are separated from other IFR flights and from VFR flights. VFR flights are separated from IFR flights and receive traffic information in respect of other VFR flights.

Class D: IFR and VFR flights are permitted and all flights are provided with air traffic control service, IFR flights are separated from other IFR flights and receive traffic information in respect of VFR flights, VFR flights receive traffic information in respect of all other flights.

Class G: IFR and VFR flights are permitted and receive flight information service if requested.

* All airspace above FL 195 is classified as Class C airspace. VFR flights above FL 195 may only be allowed in airspace reservation, where practical. In airspace above flight level 195, up to and including flight level 285, VFR flights may also be authorised by the appropriate ATS authority in accordance with the authorization procedures described at ENR 1.8.
