2020 has been the most challenging year of the aviation industry. After a tough year, operations are finally going back to normal processing the season flow.

During the first months of the year traffic was down by more than -50% compared to the same period of 2019, but currently at Tirana International Airport is being processed 20% more traffic than in 2019, which was the best year of the aviation sector in Albania.

Albcontrol is working at full capacity offering timely and quality service. Every sector is operating safely in accordance with international aviation standards.

This year Albcontrol was certified by the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority for the additional services offered in Kukës Airport. Kukës Airport has been operating in accordance with international standards for some time now.

Despite the current workload, Albcontrol in cooperation with the National Agency for Civil Protection is offering timely service to the army and foreign helicopters that are helping to prevent and put out fires in different hot spots in Albania.
