Single European Sky
The Single European Sky is a project launched by the European Union in 1999, whose purpose is the fulfillment of the need for the increase of the capacity and the safety of air navigation through legislation. In its second phase, the Single European Sky project made further steps ahead by setting performance indicators for: the safety, network capacity, efficiency, and the environmental impact.
EUROCONTROL has been selected by the European Commission to support the activities for the implementation of the Single European Sky by producing and distributing best guides and practices. EUROCONTROL also manages the ATM / CNS network in Europe .
